Rain Taxi 50th Issue Celebration

RAIN TAXI CELEBRATES THE 50TH ISSUE OF
RAIN TAXI REVIEW OF BOOKS!

On Wednesday, August 20, 2008, Rain Taxi held a party and fundraiser to celebrate the publication of its 50th Issue! The party was held in Northeast Minneapolis at the offices of our long-time colleagues, Consortium Book Sales and Distribution. Movers and shakers on the Minnesota literary scene, as well as reviewers, subscribers, authors, and friends of Rain Taxi, gathered to enjoy delicious finger food and cupcakes, drinks (including a specialty cocktail invented for the occasion, the "Raintini"—see recipe below!), live music by Bill Mike and Dreamland Faces, and a silent auction of works of art, signed books, and great items from local businesses. A truly splendid time was had by all!
